Terms & conditions

1. Booking & Payment

​

To secure your hire, full payment is required at least 24 hours before your event, or cash on delivery (prior to setup). We don’t require a deposit or bond—just book, bounce, and enjoy! Our online safety waiver must be completed and signed before the event setup. If you’re unable to complete it online, we’re happy to bring a copy for you to sign in person at the time of setup.

2. Weather​

 

Safety comes first. If heavy rain or high winds make setup unsafe, we’ll cancel your booking and work with you to reschedule at no charge. If weather changes after setup, the inflatable must be vacated and deflated for safety.

3. Delivery & Setup

​​

We’ll deliver, set up, anchor, and pack down the castle. Please ensure a clear, flat grass area (approx. 8m x 8m with 5–6m vertical clearance) and a power source within 20 metres. The site must be free of toys, obstacles,
pet waste, or hazards before we arrive.

Delivery Zones:

​

  • We offer free delivery within Zone A (0–25 km) from Christchurch city centre, which includes Parklands, North Beach, New Brighton, Kaiapoi, Sumner, and hill suburbs.

​​

  • A $50 travel fee applies for Zone B (25–45 km), covering areas such as Rangiora, Rolleston, Lincoln,
    and Pegasus. If you're unsure which zone you're in, just ask—we’re happy to help!

 

4. Supervision Responsibilities

​

An adult (18+) must supervise the castle at all times. It’s essential for safety and is a condition of hire.
Separate larger or more active children from smaller ones to avoid injury.

 

5. Use of Equipment

​

Our castles are designed for kids, no adults. We’ll provide guidance on max capacity and weight per castle. No shoes, food, drinks, pets, glitter, confetti, sharp objects, face paint, or silly string are allowed on the inflatables. Do not climb on walls, do flips, or roughhouse.

 

6. Cancellations & Refunds

Weather-related cancellations are always free.

  • For other reasons, please give us at least 3 days' notice. Short-notice cancellations may mean we’re unable to rebook the spot.

 

7. Damage & Liability

​

The hirer is responsible for damage due to misuse or failure to follow supervision/safety rules. We’ll discuss any damage with you directly, and repair or cleaning fees may apply. We accept no liability for injuries caused by improper use or unsupervised activity.

 

Lucky Bouncy Castles is not responsible for accidents or damage caused by misuse or failure to follow instructions during the hire period. Once our technician has completed setup and left the property, it is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure continuous supervision and appropriate use of the inflatable.

 

8. Health & Safety

​

We regularly clean and inspect all equipment. Our inflatables comply with and meet all relevant New Zealand health and safety standards. If strong wind or unsafe conditions arise during the hire, the castle must be vacated immediately. Do not attempt to move or adjust the setup yourself.

 

9. Waiver Acknowledgement

​

By hiring from Lucky Bouncy Castles, you acknowledge that inflatables carry a small risk of injury, and you agree to supervise use appropriately. The safety waiver must be signed before hire begins.

 

10. Acceptance of Terms

​

By completing your booking, you agree to all terms above. Your use of our equipment confirms your understanding and acceptance of these conditions.
